The Gateway 2000 Handbook 486 is a sub-compact 486 laptop computer with a small gray scale VGA screen and integrated pointing device.
The Gateway Handbook 486 uses power supply that outputs numerous voltages and has a very proprietary connector. The power supply interfaces directly to the battery which also means that the computer can’t be powered without the battery present.

NOTE: BIOS revision 1.25 addresses issues related to external floppy drive functionality and has been reported to help with PCMCIA issues too.
