Tandy Zoomer Z-PDA

The Tandy Zoomer is a handheld PDA that accepts pen input. It has/runs the GEOS operating system and has tons of useful built in software such as a calcultor, drawing pad, dictionary, language translators, fun games, etc. It also has lame software like AOL and other junk... ALL BUILT INTO ROM! I think the most useful feature of this unit is the dictionary and the fact that you can use any device to write on the screen, even your finger. I use a ballpoint pen, then I just wipe the screen every week or so, the pen usually doesn't leave any ink on the slick surface of the screen anyhow, and it's much more useful than unsing the stylus. It has a PCMCIA slot (which I have never used) that supports memory cards and modems. The screen seems to be very rugged and scratch resisitant. The Zoomer, thanks to its built in software, is my preference over an Apple Newton.
