The HP200LX is a very popular PC compatible palmtop manufactured by Hewlett Packard. It features MS-DOS 5.0 in ROM, a CGA screen, a QWERTY keyboard, a PCMCIA type II slot, an infrared port, and of course its small size. Other built in software includes Quicken, Lotus 123, CC:Mail, Filer, Appoinment software, memo software, terminal emulator, several games, a calculator, and much more. The HP200LX uses very little power and requires only two AA batteries. It is really a useful machine thanks to it's PCMCIA compatibibly with which you can add modems, storage, and much more. The best feature of the HP200LX is it's PC Compatibiblty... It can run anything that a CGA XT with 640k of memory can run, or you can write you own software if you add a basic, C, or pascal compiler (or whatever language you want). I dont use mine much but when I do it sure is handy. It is an excellent tool for traveling light.
